Following recent federal SNAP benefit reductions tied to the government shutdown, Santa Ana Unified School District is expanding efforts to ensure every child in our community continues to have access to nutritious meals.

Carver Elementary School. The Classified Employee of the Month is Anaiah Erdtsieck, Library Media Technician at Edison Elementary School.

• Our Cross-Country teams had a fantastic showing at the 2^nd Conference Cluster Meet.             

  • The Girls' Team finished in 1^st place out of 15 schools in the conference. The Lady Cents had the first, second and fourth place finishers to place the team in first place overall. 

  • The Boys Team earned a strong 2^nd place finish among the same 15 schools. 

Congratulations to the coaching staff and to this incredible group of hardworking student-athletes. They will compete this afternoon at the OC Championships at Oak Canyon Park, with races beginning at 3 pm. We wish them the very best! 

Students and families are invited to connect with 100+ college, career, and community representatives on Oct. 23 at the Heritage Museum of Orange County.

SAUSD will host a Budget Town Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025, to provide an early look at the 2025–26 budget process. Join us in person from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the Villa Fundamental gym, or virtually from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. The District will share updates, answer questions, and gather feedback from families, staff, and community partners. Additional meetings are scheduled later this year—your voice matters!

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) determines a student’s eligibility for financial aid to assist with a student’s attendance at a college or career school.
