Students are given a reading from an academic journal on the challenges of higher education. Driven by Professor Minerva Chavez, students are introduced to the article through a high school visit from Professor Chavez.  Upon arriving at CSUF, the students then attend a seminar with Professor Chavez where they learn what a college class looks and feels like. Students then conduct a scavenger hunt to better understand student life at CSUF.
